Solid Recs. Spent a really long time on essays.

Wow very nice. Duke and Brown are pretty good chances. Harvard and UPenn are pretty difficult but just keep hoping. Don’t lose hope. Want to chance me as well?

I’m not sure what you mean by checking out your profile for EC’s and awards, because it looks blank to me. Without seeing those, I don’t think you have a realistic shot at Harvard. Your SAT is somewhat low for a very good applicant, and unless you go to a very tough school that admissions reps will recognize, your gpa will hurt you. I think brown might be just a little less selective than harvard, and if your essays reflect your effort well you very well might have a chance. Duke and UPenn are probably still reaches-low reaches, but you have better chances there.

Take this all with a grain of salt because I don’t see your EC’s and awards. If they are very good then they could take you places, but without a hook or a major acheivement I do not see them making a huge difference in what I said. I also warn you that a lot of the posters that are just commenting so that you will chance them back seem to greatly underestimate the selectivity of colleges and that you should probably not take them as seriously as a veteran poster.

I hope you have some safeties. All those schools have acceptance rates of around 10% or less.

Harvard is a reach.
Upenn, Duke and Brown are low reaches.
