Amazing ECs, GPA, and SAT. I wouldn’t be surprised if you get in to one or both, but I would also not be surprised if you didn’t get in. I think it comes down to the essay? Maybe the recs? Probably how the admissions officers are feeling at the moment?
I don’t know. All in all, you have a good chance, but also know that Harvard and Princeton are reaches for everyone.

Your SAT score could improve, but it’s still very good! Your GPA and ECs are nice too, but highly focus on a few MAJOr extracurriculars when writing your essays.
Good luck!

You seem to have an amazing admission profile, and I would say that you do have a chance at getting into Princeton, and a smaller chance at getting into Harvard. But remember that Ivy League schools are a reach for everyone that applies. Best of luck with applying!!

Thanks for the responses! Do y’all really think I need to improve my SAT? I mean, I’m above the median score for Harvard and I think I’m at the point where discriminating between scores is a little bit absurd (like one more question right on math would boost my score by 40 or so points)

@CLSCCES the only reason I think you should boost your scores is because it’s Harvard and Princeton. There are gonna be a lot of people that apply with similar, and most likely better admission profiles. Instead of aiming for the middle range and calling it good, shoot for the highest you can get so you can impress admission reps

Your scores are fine. I wouldn’t take it again. My daughter graduated last year, the 2390 SAT 36 ACT kid was not accepted to H/P. You’d be surprised at the scores of the kids that were. One was unhooked but had outstanding ECs. Applications are far more than scores. You are a senior, so from my understanding of the timeline, when would you have time to retake it before you’d have to submit the application?

Probably one of the best applications I’ve seen, and even then it’s still a reach for Harvard and Princeton. You never know what those schools look for in each applicant, but I think you have as much of a chance as anyone!

TVenee, I would have to take it in January, but I really really do not feel like taking the SAT again if I already have a good enough score; I feel like they would think that I’m obsessed with my scores if I were to retake… Would anyone be willing to read my essays?
