<p>Hey guys, so I'm a rising senior, and was wondering whether or not I should bother applying to the elite institutions (harvard, yale, etc.) I have heard that oftentimes academic achievement is not sufficient and was wondering whether or not I stack up.
My Stats Are:
Sat1: 2390, 800 Reading, 800 Writing, 790 Math (single sitting)
SAT2: 800s in History, Biology, Lit, Spanish</p>
<p>4.0 GPA, Unweighted</p>
<p>Fluent in English, Spanish, French, and proficient in German</p>
<p>12-Season athlete, Captain of the fencing team</p>
<p>I started, and am subsequently the president of, the equestrian club and the French Club</p>
<p>I volunteer 10 hours a week at a homeless shelter at a local church</p>
<p>My sophomore summer, I fundraised $25,000, traveled to Namibia where I oversaw the construction of a school. </p>
