This is the revised version, if you didn’t notice the title. :)

Stop making the thread!!
No one can chance you.

@facebook

I’m not quite sure what you’re talking about. I blatantly stated that I revised my original post significantly, so much so that I deemed it worthy of a new thread, as you cannot edit posts on College Confidential (for some reason).

You cannot apply to Penn early and anywhere else. Penn is single choice ED only.

Whereas you can apply to Uchicago and MIT i believe.

^Wrong on so many levels

You can apply to as many EA schools as you like (if those schools allow you to, as most do) as it is not binding. You can only apply to one school ED (aka binding).

I blatantly stated that…

Are you sure you know the meaning of the word “blatantly”?

billabongboy9828, explain why that’s wrong. Penn is ED which is single choice binding. MIT and Uchicago are EA which may allow you to apply to both (depending upon policy).

Penn is ED, but you can apply to other schools EA. You just can’t apply to other ED schools. So you can apply to Penn ED, MIT EA, Chicago EA.

@leonwho:

your stats are amazing! great job! You should def. apply to ALL the best schools in the country, and odds are ull get into most. but i cant really give you an exct chance b/c at a certain point (when everyone is stellar) the chances become rather unpredictible.

Good luck!

(btw, can you chance me. i dont know how to post the link, but im under “NYU chances- not the typical CC’er”.

[Early Decision - Early Action - apply to colleges, search](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>Facts About Applying Early Decision or Early Action – BigFuture)

You can apply Upenn ED , and no where else.

Or you can apply MIT and Chicago EA

Your resume exemplifies the stereotypical CC worried braggart… Varsity sports, starting your own business, making $2k from an initial $100 investment … lol… hundreds of volunteer hours…

Just stop posting. You would know yourself if you can get in or not.

And from my friend’s experiences, who did not have your EC’s, they wrote good essays and got into ivie’s

bottom line:

stop posting

write good essays

Nope, wrong.^^^^^.You can apply to all 3, but if you get in to the ED school, you are bound to attend. EA is non-binding.

Given your scores and solid ECs, I think you have a good chance. My advice would be to focus on your more unique experiences (reseller business, mentorship).

Your leadership experiences are a bit weak

Apparently this dude got in nowhere and settled for a state school. It just comes to show that the whole “leadership” and “extra-curriculars” BS is really BS! If you have good grades and a decent essay, thats enough to show that you are both intelligent and passionate as a person. Don’t understand why people say leadership is important. If everyone Harvard accepts is a leader, then who the F follows the friggin leaders. What a JOKE.

the fact that it looks like you have such a rigorous courseload and high GPA would look good, if you didn’t have subpar AP scores. that can show colleges that the classes are just painted AP with a flimsy facade

Looks like you can get in anywhere you wanted with that kind of resume. I wouldn’t worry too much-- make your essay and personal statement stand out and you’ll be fine.

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1118399-chance-theatre-acting-inclined-junior-ill-chance-you-back.html</a></p>
