Wow this is incredible. Just curious how you fit so many AP classes in? In my school, by the time I’m a senior the MOST APs I could’ve taken would be 8.

Yeah! My school offers a lot of APs, and you can start taking them your freshman year.

Don’t know what West Point looks for but clearly a very strong application for the other schools, so it’s down to the essays/recs and the numbers game/number of places available for unhooked applicants, and how you fit what they are looking for in a class profile.

Hmm, lot’s of AP’s but very light on leadership. West Point is looking for all around skills plus excellent academics. Playing a single sport is great but many will have athletic feats on a national level and often in a couple of sports. Playing a sport at a high school is great but winning a national/state title is better. Leadership is something the reads across many areas. Does the kid create things and ways to help people. Is there something about that person that makes you think they are a natural born leader. The debate is great. I’d suggest having more national titles however. At you TOC material? Not all debate championships are equal.
I would say beef up the leadership.
My guesstimate would be a better chance at Georgetown than West Point ( honestly, I don’t see a strong chance here). Take a look at other West Pointers from your state and see what they have done. The student from our town who went to West Point had tons of things going on beyond being a great athlete in 3 sports.

past tense?

Whoops sorry! Got my tenses mixed up. WILL be a captain.

Thanks, Happytimes, I probably need more sports stuff and leadership if I want to have a real chance at Westpoint, but I’ll still apply just in case. I’m more concerned about the Ivies and Georgetown. Otherwise, I definitely would’ve played more sports haha! When it comes to debate, I have championed some national tournaments, and I have been to the TOC 3 times so far, but I don’t like bragging about myself.

Oh, I also forgot to mention that I went to a summer leadership camp, and I mentored younger kids at my school. That’ll probably help with the leadership too facepalm.

Of the Ivy’s, an ED at Dartmouth, Cornell, Penn or Columbia would give you a better than average shot - assuming Fin Aid isn’t a critical issue as ED puts you at a disadvantage. For the other Ivy’s, certainly possible, but they are schools with single digit acceptance rates…
