I am currently applying to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Cornell, MIT, UChicago, Northwestern, and Florida.

Do I have a shot at any of the first eight schools with a 2020 SAT score?

If you need more info to make a better decision, please respond.

You might still have a shot, especially if you have a hook (e.g. recruited athlete, under-represented minority, strong alumni ties, donations). But if none of the above apply to you, then it will be quite tough getting in.

I am a URM (Black male). I have been recruited by Cornell’s ILR School, and by the Univ. of Florida.
Unweighted GPA: 3.8000
Weighted GPA: 6.4800
No. 1 in senior class, strong possibility of being 1st black valedictorian in school history.
Suburban high school, 60 % white, 15% black, 15% Latino, 10% other (inc. Asian)
About 490 in senior class, 450 should graduate.
Total school pop is about 2300.

I can include a more detailed breakdown upon request.

Black + valedictorian = great chances. If you have great essays and recs too, then I’d be very surprised if you didn’t get into at least one school on that list.

i think you have a chance at some of the first eight schools. you should apply and see what happens and hopefully you will get into 1.

Considering your race and class rank, I think you definitely have a chance to top ivies.
I know this guy got into Cornell, Princeton, Yale and waitlisted for Harvard after having 1850 on his SATs and state track champion (He was a black male and 2 or 3rd in his class)

Good luck for you!
