Extracurriculars/clubs (no real order):
-Journalism (7-12). Our newspaper is literally one of the best newspapers in the entire country. I'm one of the best- if not the best- writer on our paper. Right now, I'm assistant editor of the features section, but I should be managing editor of writing next year. My columns are published in the local paper and I shadowed the editor-in-chief of a regional paper over the summer. I went to journalism camp since 8th grade, and I've gotten awards for my writing.
-Debate Team (11-12). Captain and Founder. Just was founded, so obviously we're not like a nationally avowed team or anything. Right now it's just an after school "drop by and come debate" thing because we still don't have an adviser, but hopefully we'll be going to competitions next year.
-French Society (10-12), President and Founder. We organize a bunch of funlicious activities and charity stuff.
-WILLOW (9-12). Women bond strengthening club thing. I was selected as one of the mentors to younger girls at our HS.
-Strong Girls (10-12). We go to elementary schools during the spring and teach them to be proud in their lack of Y c'some and not to be beyotches.
-Debate Camp (10-12). Two weeks, day camp.
-National Honors Society (11-12), Cum Laude chapter. Can't join before 11th grade.
-IMPACT (9-12). Charity stuff.
-Varsity Gymnastics (9). (hellzz yeah...?)
-Assistant directed youth theatre (froshie year, age limit of involvement).

Volunteer:
-President of Young Women for Change (10-12). I'm the president for a chapter which includes two counties. Had a fundraiser and made $5,000 for a local women's charity.
-SOAR Tutoring (10-12). Once a week, I tutor low-income Detroit pre-schoolers in reading and writing.
-I need to do more soup kitchen-y stuff, don't I?

Honors:
-Best Affirmative Speech, Highest Overall Score at Debate Camp
-Third Place in Column Writing from MIPA
-Pacemaker, Columbia Gold Crown on our paper (highest honor a high school newspaper can get)
-I will have around 2903840 awards by the end of this year for writing stuff, so pretend that they're all here for your scrutinizing

Job:
-Bagger at Kroger (11-whenever I get fired/quit in an angry storming out-way, 20 hours a week).

Essay:
-Will blow everyone's minds

Recommendations:
-One of them will be my journalism teacher, who loves me. Other one will prolly be AP Euro, who also loves meh.
-HS counselor helped out my older sister who is a bit of a shall we say... heroin addict. Not sure if that will play in, but it should be a pretty good recommendation.

What are my chances? Do remember I'd be a little less immature with the admissions officers. Thanks guys!
