Chance me for Johns Hopkins as a reach school?

Hi, I will be applying to JHU's school of engineering for RD.

Keep in mind that I am well aware that this is a reach school. I just want to know how I stand. Thanks!

GPA: 3.67 UW
Top 5% of class.
Took 7 APs and the most challenging schedule offered by my school (one of three students taking the most difficult schedule, if that matters.)

ACT: 31 comp; 34 eng; 31 math; 31 rding; 29 sci

SAT 1930 ss (I know I did bad on it--but I did do better on the ACT, of course.)

SAT2s: 680 M2; 660 Phys.

*Retook SAT2s in December and expect low 700s on both.

No hooks that I know of.

Slightly above average HS in suburb.

Good ECs and good essays.

wow 3.67 GPA is top 5%… must be a tough school. your ACT’s and SAT’s aren’t terrible-could be worse and I know of people who have gotta in with lower (although they had really high gpa’s). If you have time, I’d recommend trying to push past the 2000 mark since something about that front 2 makes your score seem much better.

I mean it’s hard to say anything with the info you gave me, but I’d say it’s definitely a reach, but if your essays and EC’s stand out, there’s still a chance you can get in (although I would have recommended trying for ED)

thanks for the response.

btw, my school ranks for weighted gpa, not weighted. i am ranked so highly because of my strength of schedule–as i said, i am one of a few students that took every ap available (a’s and b’s in them). what would you think a considered subject test score would be? thanks
