I am a high school senior and plan to major in either political science, public policy, and/or international relations. I really want to get into Macaulay Honors @ Hunter College and was wondering what you guys think my chances are.
I have received on AP’s:
AP World History: 5
AP English Language and Composition: 4
AP US History: 5
AP US Government: PLANNING TO TAKE
AP Literature: PLANNING TO TAKE
AP Pyschology: PLANNING TO TAKE
ACT: 33 (English 35 Math 33 Reading 29 Science 29) Writing section was a 30
SAT 2’s
Lit: 680
US History: 780
World History: 770
My GPA is a 3.2 (89.7 unweighted)
My grades in foreign language, history, and english have always been extremely high. My science has been above average but not stupendous. My math grade has been abysmal which is what really weighed my grades down (I usually waver between 70’s and a low 80) This year, I’m doing really well in history and english, but my french grade plummeted due to the fact that I underestimated the difficulty of AP French, but I’ve getting 90’s in math and science (upward trend). Despite my previous experiences with math, i chose to take calculus.
