Please suggest some good ACT textbooks

Thanks

Try to raise your ACT score to 30+ for a chance a better chance at Purdue. Right now you are high match to low reach for Purdue and high reach for the other 2.

MIT: High Reach
Stanford: High Reach
Purdue: High Match
do more ECs to make up for your GPA and test scores

SAT and ACT tests would have to go up significantly for MIT + Stanford. You should get into Purdue though.

Do you guys know any ACT prep books?

Can you clarify which citizenship you currently hold? If Indian, you need to do much better! Far too many Indian citizens apply to MIT, and very few get accepted. The acceptance rate for Indians is probably less than one percent.

I would be very interested in hearing how you’ve worked in over a hundred states. (unless I’m misunderstanding you…)

Oh sorry i have a habit of zoning out while I type. It should be hours.
And i am a US citizen

tutor in what?

You saved yourself by having a US citizenship! But still you have to get your ACT and SAT Subject scores high to get into MIT and Stanford. Probably Purdue is a match.

I tutor in Math, Physics, and chemistry.

And do you know any good ACT prep books

I have no idea about the ACT. I took the SAT.

I think that you are exaggerating (or totally creating) your tutoring activity. Knowing that you got a 670 on Math level 2, I feel it extremely hard to believe that you tutor high school seniors! It’s good if you are not creating this just for the application but you have to prove yourself! Just think about it. The adcoms might have seen thousands of applications each year and many applicants might have falsified their app in some way. If I can find flaws without any such experience, the adcoms can easily see it.

Yes but you have to understand something what they teach in India for 12th and 11th graders are the equivalent of your 9th grade and 10th grade math, physics, and chemistry. In the rest of the world. Also I do not do well under pressure especially during exams.

Whoa whoa I’m an Indian and I completed my high school in India.

What?? This is completely a joke.

Where in India are you from? And what is your education board?

See, an Indian high school senior can easily score above 770 (at the least!) on SAT Math Level II, unless he is average/below average in his academics!

If you are a junior, you can easily score above 730. I highly doubt if there is anything tough for a junior to score below 700 on that test.

I don’t want to fight with you or discourage you, but you know it doesn’t look obvious…!
