Chance Me For Multiple Schools?

Hey there, bear with me as this is my first post. I would really appreciate any comments and frankness. Any PM's would be great too if someone doesn't want to post on here for whatever reason

So I'm a Senior at a small private Catholic school outside of SF, CA. I'll be one of 180ish in my class. I don't have a firm list yet for all of the schools that I want to apply to, but I have a general idea.

Major wise, I will either apply under some sort of Engineering major (1. Biomed 2. Chemical 3. Mechanical) or Chemistry. I am also pretty sure (not 100%) that I want to go to Med School after I graduate.

Colleges I'm Thinking Of Applying To:
- Bucknell
- Carnegie Mellon
- Claremont Mckenna
- Purdue
- SMU (Have been in contact with Engineering Dept, admission guy told me he wants me)
- TCU
- Texas A&M (I fall into the automatic admit section so I just have to apply)
- Tulane
- UC's (Davis, LA, SB, SD)
- Michigan
- Villanova

Now My Stats

GPA: Cumm: 4.02 (wtd) 3.54 (unwtd)
- My grades stayed pretty much the same except for a slip 1st semester Frosh year due to a concussion and 3rd quarter Soph year due to being overwhelmed with activities + school

II's: Chem - 710 Math 2C - 690 LR - 530 (will not report)
- I may retake the Math 2C in October because I know I can do better than a 690 (recommendations on that?)

AP Classes:
- No AP's offered for Frosh/Soph
- Junior Year: AP Chem; but I transferred out of AP USH due to issues with the teacher and not having enough time to work it out, I did get a solid A in regular.

Thank you for reading, I really appreciate it.

Can anyone help out please?

Just a quick note, your stats are similar to my son’s, but your school does not rank. So, I am not sure how you will be an auto admit at A&M. You have to be in the top 25% to be an auto admit. I would suggest you look into it. Also, you should know that A&M Engineering is extremely competitive and admission is on a rolling basis. So, if you do not get acceptance right away, seats get taken and chances of getting into engineering dry up quickly. Hope that helps. Also, take a look at my chance thread and share any insights you may have. thanks.

When I visited at A&M, I spoke with a person from admissions about that, they said, if I remember correctly, that they would create some sort of ranking for me and that it would not be an issue. I know for a fact that I am at least in the top 15% of my class. I’m trying to get my application in ASAP to A&M, I’ll definitely take a look. Thank you.

I would say all of your schools are high reaches, except I’m not sure about SMU or other Texas schools you included… Large public schools like Michigan are very gpa driven due to the high volume of applicants and with your gpa it would be a very high reach. Your course load doesn’t seem that rigorous at all too. Your sat is average. The ecs are alright. What exactly did you do as a “staffer” on the campaigns? And what exactly did you do on McCain/palin? That was in 2008?

Other than that the ecs are probably going to be your driving force… So I would really try and push that. They do contain so extraneous activities, so I would only include the solid ones because you only have so much space. Good luck… Really work the essays.
