I think I'm going to ED1 Emory.

I attend one of the most prestigious and competitive private schools in my state, and we have a good reputation for academic excellence (my college admissions counselors say we grade deflate). My school also does not rank.

Writing:
My essays are all very good, I have received excellent help during the writing process

Where is your home state?
Assuming you are not from Michigan, your GPA is too low for UMich while your ACT is at the 75th percentile (SAT below average). It would be a low reach to reach for you due to your low GPA (c.f. avg 3.85).

I’m from the Midwest, but not Michigan. Thanks for the help though!

Emory, USC, BU, NYU, and BC are all in the high-match range for you. The others are reaches, although you might get in. The UCs place a lot of weight on GPAs, though, and your UC-weighted GPA is quite low for Berkeley and UCLA.Your ACT score is within range for Vanderbilt and WashU, and they both weigh test scores heavily, but I have to call them big reaches. I don’t see any solid matches, let alone safe schools, on your list. Do you have any?

might add Holy Cross -top Catholic school like ND and Georgetown. HC has great school spirit and meets 100% demonstrated financial need.

Sorry if I confused you with the “UC GPA” thing. The UCs calculate the GPA differently, and my counselor calculated mine for me based on my grades. That’s what I was referring to. I’m a high school senior.

I do have safe schools and matches that I am applying to, but I didn’t care to list them because I already understand my chances for those schools. I only listed my reaches because those are more up in the air and I wanted to get some feedback on them. Thanks for all of your comments; I really appreciate the help!
