over achiever...Harvard and MIT are the only ones that i see you having problems with, the rest you should be in. Good luck!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/623727-chances-would-appreciated-chances-back.html

Thank you! But that seems a little optimistic!

This fell fast!

Just dance...

Dude don't worry about it. You'll be fine. Harvard might be a little iffy just because they have so many overqualified applicants that it might come down to random chance. Think MIT will admit you second time around.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/633383-these-safe-call-my-safety-low-match-schools.html

if that was a lady gaga reference then i say in at all.

if not then really, im not sure.

...it was....

in with $$$

haha =)

But seriously, how does it look?

You seem like a qualified applicant for those schools, but the Ivies are always iffy, as well as MIT, although you should get into at least one of those. You're fine for JHU and UMaryland though, probably in at both.

well top 1%, x>1500, SATIIS>2300, organic chem, latin

seriously, after a certain point you just can't chance someone anymore since admissions is such a crapshoot... which you're aware of.

but on the real, i can't see you NOT getting into most of these schools.

good luck.

I believe you will get in at most of these schools.

You have much higher stats/ECs than I do, and I got into Hopkins, so you're probably a shoe-in, there, unless your essays suck, which I don't see being an issue for you, because you got into UChicago, which is famously strict on essays! I wish you great luck!

And I must say I like your taste in music, unless the GaGa reference was more of a joke.

No, I had that song playing while I was on CC.

Thanks, guys!

columbia, MIT and Harvard are the only reaches,
all of the others you should get in because you got into UChicago

columbia, MIT and Harvard are the only reaches,
all of the others you should get in because you got into UChicago

^isn't UChicago comparable to columbia?

Not admissions-wise, I don't think...

The two are ranked the same according to US News, aren't they? Chicago's acceptance rate is technically much higher ("self-selecting" school).

MIT- reach (it is for everyone)
Harvard- reach (it is for everyone)
Brown- low reach (it is for everyone)
Columbia- reach (it is for everyone)
Cornell- high match/low reach
Johns Hopkins- match
U Maryland- not familiar
