It’d be really nice to have your honest opinions. The MORE blunt, the BETTER

** I did post a chance me previously, but only for my one ED school. Would really like opinions on my RD schools.

Have you run the net price calculator on each school to check your chances of getting sufficient financial aid at each?

You have strong chances at all of them. Good test scores, good grades. Your Bio M SAT II score is low for someone who wants to major in bio, but I’m sure you’ll be fine. Recs sound good, and so do your extracurriculars. Just make sure you write excellent supplemental essays. UPenn is the only one on your list that you most likely will not get into, but you still have a shot there. Good luck!

If you don’t mind please chance me back. I’d appreciate it! http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/2031061-chances-uchicago-others.html#latest

@Yayeducationlol Penn is a reach. Swarthmore, CMU might be low reaches, high matches. You are on target for the rest of them imo.

Don’t know enough about swarthmore
Accepted:
Lehigh
colgate
bu
penn state
umich

waitlist
georgetown
carnegie mellon

rejected upenn

Your grades and act is excellent, but I think colleges won’t like your lack of work experience and minimal focus on major/career choice(no internships or first hand exposure)
Chance me back and note that this is just my honest guess

You have a perfect college list. Safeties, matches, and reaches. Georgetown, CMU, and UPenn are reaches and it’s anyone’s guess if you’ll get in. You have the stats but no hooks unless your essays are insanely good. But you should get in to the rest.

Chance back.

Besides UPenn, I think you will have good chances at all of them.

Chance me back? http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/2032472-please-chance-me-for-the-following-schools.html#latest

Besides UPenn, Carnegie Mellon, and Georgetown, you have good chances for the rest

You have great grades and good extracurriculars to report to these colleges. Along with that you also have benefits in being a first-generation student as well as being able to receive a good amount of financial aid due to your income.

The only issue I could see might be your SAT II Bio score, as I have to agree with previous posters that you should retake it again if you have the chance since it is your major. Overall I don’t see any problem in getting into the schools you’ve chosen except possibly for UPenn (selective) and Carnegie Mellon since their school of science only has a 5% acceptance rate.

I wish I was as accomplished of a student as you are :frowning: , but nevertheless good luck with your applications hopefully you get into one of these colleges.

Also chance me back on my most recent thread if you have the chance.

UMich would be a low reach for you with a chance above average OOS applicants. The good thing is they will meet your need if admitted as your family income is below $90k.

Easily in penn state and temple

I think everything is a match/ safety besides upenn and Georgetown. Also Asian isn’t a URM, but you have great stuff. Chance me back please?

Hi! I am a current Swat freshman, and I got in with a 1470 SAT and a 33 ACT! I am not familiar with all the schools on your list, but I think you have a very solid shot at Colgate, Carnegie Mellon, and BU! Schools like UPenn are so hard to predict, but you have great stats and extracurriculars, and I wish you the best of luck!!
