Chance me for NYU and Rochester though?

Hey y'all!

Could any of you here chance me for Rochester and NYU?

Here is my info:
Gender: Female
State: NY
GPA: 2.3 (79/100)
SAT (First Sitting): 1780 (CR 630 M 580 W 570)
SAT (Second Sitting): 1670 (CR 450, M 720, W 500)
SAT Superscore: 1920 (CR 630, M 720, W 570)
Intended Major: Biology
Extracurriculars:
Band ( 2 years)
Dance ( 2 years)
Intern at a hospital (I dropped it tho)

So wat do u guys think? I think I'll definitely get into Rochester tho.

NYU: Reach
U Rochester: Reach (at least it’s reachable)

My advice: try a CC and then transfer into NYU or U Rochester.

With a 2.3 NYU and Rochester are huge, huge reaches. Like I dont think a 1920, which is already on the lower scale for both, can outweigh. No SAT score can balance out a 2.3…unless you cured cancer. Go to a state school or CC then transfer, as the above poster said.

Personally, I would count a 79 average as 2.9 (not 2.3) but my advice stands.

If you put your act together at a CC, that move will prove less expensive than going straight up to NYU or U Rochester.

I just did the math out. Dude, your gpa is a 3.2…not 2.3. Now, you have decent chance at both

No way are you definitely getting into Rochester. Both are huge reaches. Even if your GPA 2.9 instead of a 2.3, that is still extremely low for both schools, especially considering your SATs are in the lower 25% range for both schools. Also as far as I can tell, your ECs aren’t anything spectacular. I would say try applying to some SUNYs?
