I applied ED to NYU CAS as a Journalism major and am planning on applying to Vassar College, Skidmore College, George Washington University, Bard College, American University, and Boston University in January if I don't get in to NYU.

Your SATs are strong for NYU. However, they aren’t that high.
The rest of your application seems a bit bland to be honest. Do you hold any leadership positions in any of those clubs? Or do you do anything outside of academia/school?
Your senior year studies are obviously of the utmost difficulty and the 800 on writiing signifies that you are a solid candidate for journalism.

At this point, seeing that you are ED, I would say you have about 60% getting in. Don’t take that as a shock, because I must imagine that your essay is spectacular and your recs are decent+. If they are, I would say you have a very high chance of getting in.

There’s virtually no chance you won’t get in. I can’t speak from experience, but I’ve been obsessing about NYU lately. Lol. I’ve seen people with lower SAT scores get in. I would just say that your EC’s are lacking. But Goodluck to you too!

Just to agree with some others, you look like you’re a fairly strong candidate, although your EC’s are a bit generic. You fit the NYU profile pretty well so you should be fine.

While I can’t agree there’s no chance you won’t get in, I would give you a 50/50 chance if you’re from the mid Atlantic and a better chance if you’re from a less represented region.

I’m hoping you are full pay as your list is not great if you’re not. I’m not seeing the stats for good aid at NYU, BU, American.
