Honors/Awards: National Honor Society, World Language Honor Society, AP Scholar with Honor

ECs: President of Latin Club, Physics League, Environmental Club, volunteer at my library, volunteer at my church

Essays/Recommendations: My recommendation letters were very good and I’m also confident in my essay and supplement.

Additional info: My mom went to NYU, so I’m hoping that will help.

@curiousminds01 oh then you don’t have to worry about it with ur legacy.

Please save yourself and do not apply to NYU ED II. ED II only exists in order to deflate their acceptance rate, since they report the average of ED I and ED II. If you do somehow get accepted when the acceptance rate is ~10% for ED II, you will not be able to handle it financially. It will be 70k, the most expensive of all colleges. You WILL regret it, trust me.

@curiousminds01 @cappex I think cappex is right. I’m pretty sure you will have a strong chance as a RD applicant, too. So there’s not point of applying in ED2

I just got rejected from my ED as well, so I know how you feel. Just relax. You will get accepted RD with those stats (that are similar to mine). Don’t make an irrational and rash decision like I did, I applied somewhere ED II and am going to cancel it monday. Just apply RD. Trust me.

I think you can get in because you have diverse extra curriculars and you’re a Legacy. What’s your major? The only thing I see on your app that might cause a problem is specified and continued activities for your interest.
