It's one of my top choices, I've been there before (summer camp, etc), and I live in Ohio.
I am a junior at a fairly competitive urban public school in an Ohio city; most years at least one person goes to one of the Ivies, mostly minority students (I'm a Caucasian female).

Extracurriculars:
School Theater- I've been heavily involved in theater, from the beginning of freshman year; both acting in the plays and in stage crew, I've done almost all stage crews (light, sound, props, etc), and I will likely be co-stage manager senior year.
Taekwondo- I've done taekwondo since 6th grade, 1-4 times a week, and am currently a red belt (black belt comes next).
- My church district (UU, so very humanitarian) has a district (across three states) youth adult committee that plans four youth conferences a year, along with meetings. I have been a member of it since 9th grade, 10th grade I was secretary & had other smaller positions, 11th & 12th grade I am co-chair of the committee.
-My school has a program where 10-12th grade students go to an internship on Wednesdays instead of school. Last year I interned at NARAL, and ended up working outside the internship to plan and lead a reproductive justice week long camp for youth at my church in the summer. I am also co-leading a reproductive justice workshop at a regional conference soon.
I will be interning at Planned Parenthood this year and likely doing work outside of the internship.
- Been in Environmental Club since 9th grade, and am a co-head this year.
-School art & literary magazine
-organizer for this school event which is basically bringing in speakers to talk about race, gender, & other social issues, will probably have a greater role the next two years.

So, what do you all think? Thanks!
