@Mandias09 Thank you. Do you think that raising my ACT to a 31 or 32 will greatly increase my chances of admission, or is it a futile effort that won’t really benefit me? Also, by the looks of how I’m doing in my classes now, my UW gpa will get pulled up to a 3.1 or higher, I’m guessing this will help me a little…?
@sarajessica obviously I’m not a college admissions officer, but I think a higher ACT will help (I don’t know about greatly because your main pitfall is your GPA), as well as a higher GPA, even by a little bit. I think, even with a 30, you have a solid chance of acceptance.
@Mandias09 Thank you so much. I’ve been really worried because I’d REALLY love to go there…Do you think that the rigor of my high school courses (8 honors + 3ap (senior year)) will really help at all?? or do you think it was detrimental to take challenging courses if the outcome is a lower gpa?
@sarajessica Colleges like to see students take challenging courses, so taking tough classes is better than not taking them - they like to see success (which you have relative success, B GPA). So, in your case I’d say it helped because you took them and, presumably, didn’t fail them.
@Mandias09 Thank you for all your help

Yes,I think UC (Cincinnati) is a good safety school for you esp. if you can imagine yourself happy there. However, I would add a few more target schools. Do you want to stay in state in Ohio? Are you interested in Indiana? What about OSU did you like?
