Chance me for OSU

I am from a rural appalachian HS from a relatively poor area. Family income is >$32000 / yr. and I will likely receive a Pell grant.

GPA: 3.3 UW (school doesn’t weight), 74th percentile of my graduating class / 57th in class of 219. Strong upward trend: 2.6–>3.4–>3.9–>4.0

ACT: 31 E: 36 R: 35 M:28 S: 26 SS(even though OSU doesn’t consider): 32.25 E: 36 R:35 M:28 S:30

SAT: Taking it this saturday, expecting 1450-1500 range

ECS: Varsity Crew, Spanish Honor Society, Computer Club, Student Council/Government, AFS, School Newspaper–Head of Web Development for our online edition. I attend a Lutheran (ELCA) church. I work as a server at a country club after school/in the summer.

Essay: I’ve had a ton of people, including English teachers, edit it, and I’ve incorporated all of their recommendations. I think it’s pretty well written at this point. I can PM if anyone would care to review it for me.

Courseload: AP US History (5) AP Calculus, AP Physics (currently taking both). These are all of the APs that my school offers. I have a ton of college credits that I’ve amassed through our College Credit Plus program. College classes I’ve completed include Compsition 1, British Literature, American History to 1865, American History 1865 to present, and Spanish 1-5 at a college level.

Service: 100 hours at a local senior center and some minor things here and there for crew/church fundraisers.

I have an amazing recommendation from an English teacher/student council and journalism advisor who had me for four years.

I’ll be applying EA for Autumn 2018, and I hope to major in Business Administration with a focus in Finance/Economics and a minor in Information Systems. I visited Fisher recently, and I absolutely loved the campus as well as everyone on it.
