Hello College Confidential community,

Please chance me for UT PACT!!! It's a BS/MD program in Texas where the undergraduate degree is completed at the University of Texas at Dallas and the medical degree is completed at the University of Texas at Southwestern. It's very competitive. I'd really really appreciate anybody's opinion.

Here are the stats:

Essays:
I plan on spending a lot of time on them so they should be very good as well

Basically all I'm asking is if these stats will get me an interview and possibly a spot in the program. I know the program is very competitive, and a lot of the students who are accepted have stats that make them appear as prodigies.

Does it look like I can get in with these stats? What am I lacking? Where should I improve myself? What already looks good to the admission committee?

@TrapGodLee, is this program the only one you’re applying to?

@Roentgen Thanks for your reply. Actually, it is not. It will be one of several programs. However, it is my personal favorite, and admission from UT PACT would be extremely preferred over other admissions.

@TrapGodLee I think you’re quite competitive, and the only think that might hurt you would be your rank, but that’s just me splitting hairs. Your standardized test scores are great and your ECs look really good. I would increased the number of volunteer hours in hospitals and if you’re able to get some leadership positions, or be a club officer that helps as well. I’m sure you know a variety of BS/MD programs available. Have you taken any SAT II subject exams?

damn what school do you go to? thats impressive, especially the research. i’ll be competing against you for a spot, but my EC’s are nowhere near that good. sounds like you have a high chance of making it in. whats your course load?

@Roentgen‌ thanks for the reply! I have got a few leadership positions. I also agree with you on the rank. I will take your advice and increase hospital volunteer hours.

I haven’t taken any SAT II exams. I’m going to be taking them soon. I’m expecting high, near perfect scores.

@TrapGodLee, are you going for UT Pact bc you’re a Texas Resident? I believe Rice/Baylor and Baylor/Baylor are also programs that you might be interested in as well, the other top-tier BS/MD programs: http://www.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/BA_MD_programs.html
