I know my GPA is a wreck >.<

Any chances are appreciated! For the schools listed or just any in the top 10/20 Thanks! I can chance back too~

Princeton, Duke, Johns Hopkins: all reaches, but URM status and all that volunteering will help.

For Georgetown, they “strongly recommend” SAT subject tests. What scores did you get?

Since you live in CA, have you considered applying to UCs?

Oh yeah, I was proud of my subject tests but from what I understand everyone else gets higher like all the time here on CC lol
Math 2: 760
Literature: 720
US History: 700 (only took for the schools that "strongly recommended 3)

Yeah, I applied to 4 UC schools :)

Georgetown is the most likely, but still a reach. What major are you applying as?

I’m applying for International Relations, but at JHU I’m applying for Public Health. Will my major make a difference? My ‘academic’ ECs (not listed) are geared towards current events and public policy

Yeah I think Georgetown is a reach too, but you have a chance.

Alright cool, thanks. What about a school like Vassar or Swarthmore? I went to the discovery program and really loved it there!

No idea, sorry.

If only you could substitute switch your volunteer hours for your SAT score and you have a good shot at all of them, except princeton. Princeton is High reach for everyone. They deferred the probably the smartest kid I have met in my life. 2400 SAT, 4.0 UW, I mean perfect. Won science competitions, he was devastated, but he went to MIT so no biggie.
