Chances for: UCSD, Stanford, Johns Hopkins, Duke, UM...

<p>Warning: Junior thread more of a going in the right direction thread I guess? lol</p>

<p>GPA: 4.1 weighted taking the hardest courses possible atm
SAT:1960 first try without anything so I'll study this summer and retake in november
AP: 5 in spanish 3 in euro 5 apush, 5 bio without anything presuming: 4 ab calc, 5 physics, 5 music theory, 5english lit
ACT: havnt taken it yet
Ethnicity: Hispanic(Venezuela)</p>

<p>ECs: Summer shadowing neurosurgeon at hospital witnessing surgeries patient care ICU emergency room pediatric... basically I worked following and observing from 8-5 for a month and that was truly awsome because thats my goal</p>

Swimming competitively since 3 yrs old: championships nationals.. trophies/medals top florida swimmer/puertorico swimmer 2hrs a day/varsity swimming
Violin since 6yrs old playing for charities concerts....
classical guitar same
equestrian jumping last 5 yrs: champion horse and several other awards 2 hrs a day
hmm idk what else.. lots of community service tutoring and so on
forgot to mention stock portfolio of photography and captains license... which i have no idea if it even counts as something for EC lol</p>

<p>For senior yr i'm going to be in The Bishop's School in La Jolla and I was wondering about my chances at the following schools keeping in mind that medicine is my goal: UCSD, Johns Hopkins, Duke, UM, and far reach stanford and a couple others..</p>

<p>University of Miami- I would'nt typically go for it but considering how much $$ they are putting into their med program and their great neuroscience program I am considering it... and yey your comments make me feel better </p>

<p>I'll raise reading to 750 writing to 720 and math to 730 maybe= 2200.. so i'll work rlly hard on SAt prep this summer</p>

<p>Do you think the hispanic ethnicity plays a key part or the participation in the hospital?</p>

<p>When I apply should I include things like Black belt in tae kwon do or is it just unnecessary info?</p>
