I am planning on applying into computer engineering, but if there is an easier way to get in, let me know...

4.0 gpa
public school Oregon (not too competitive, most go to StateU)
1/392 rank (valedictorian)
current courses (4 AP's and the rest are college credit courses) My school only has a few AP's I am taking all of them.
31 ACT
Bad SAT 2's, wont send them
2060 SAT superscore (probably wont send

Assuming I have good EC's and good essays/recs, what are my chances for admission?

On paper you look alright (SATs/ACT a bit low), but no one really knows. The ECs matter a lot. My sister with legacy was rejected as a valedictorian with 2210 SATs as a data point.

I’ll list my credentials as a freshman at JHU (planning on transferring out though):
3.8 unweighted HS gpa (competitive public school)
6 AP’s in HS, (only took two AP exams though, and got 5’s)
2160 sat
pretty average ec’s. varsity wrestling for 4 years and 2 year captain, other than that most of the other stuff was filler.
applied ed though.
So basically: Yes, you do have a shot. No, I don’t think you’re wasting 60 dollars or whatever it is. Hope this helps, good luck!
