Hi iambored10!

Since you're a junior, I won't actually rate you for the schools you've listed, because (1) many things will change during your junior year and (2) even your list of dream schools will change (mine did drastically - rice used to be my #1 school and now it's off my list).

Anyways, you're obviously doing quite well in school with a 3.94 UW GPA. You are obviously challenging yourself in school, because you have 3 APs this year. Your SAT of 2040 at this time is decent, though aiming for a 2150 will certainly improve your chances of admission at the schools you've listed. I see that you have already taken the SAT Math IC; however, I recommend that you also take the SAT Math IIC whenever you can, because most colleges do prefer the Math IIC over the IC, as the IIC is more difficult (but the curve is also more generous than on IC). So far your ECs look decent, but they actually seem to be all over the place. Colleges like to see people who do things that they truly enjoy doing, not people who do ECs just for the sake of putting them on the activity list. You need to show passion in what you do, and admission officers can tell that based on the essays you write.

Overall, you're a solid student who has obviously excelled in high school. Keep working at this pace and you'll be on track for Duke/Rice/Vanderbilt, but nothing is a guarantee at this stage.

Come back again next year!
