Vanderbilt University-RD
Baylor University-RD (Safety)
Rice University-RD (#1 choice)
Duke University
Tulane University

Thanks!

oh yeah ranked top 5% of my class, Texas Merit Scholar

I think you've got a great chance, if you can improve SAT's above 2200, i say you have a good shot at some of the lesser ivies, too

great shot, in at Baylor, Tulane and most likely vandy. Duke and Rice are a good shot as well

how can your gpa be more than a 5.0? In our school, an A+ in an AP class is a 5, an A+ in a honors a 4.5, ect...

"(if my school recalculates ill have 5.05+)"
How on earth does your school calculate GPA? And where do I sign up lol?
To be honest, you will most likely get in at all the schools on your list, but if you simply hit 2200 or better on the SAT your chances shoot up a lot higher.

Some people on CC say that vandy, rice, baylor, and tulane recalculate your GPA??

oh and idk how but people in my school have 5.3 Weighted GPA's

Is it based on a 6 point system?
Also, many colleges recalculate GPA by taking out your non-core classes (i.e. gym, etc.)

what if my non-core class (Comp Sci) is AP?

Not sure...
I would think that it would be calculated in, but I really don't have expertise in this area.

Bump
what would be my chances with an ACT score around 30-32

Bump(10 Char.)

Bump. Suggest me some other schools :)

In at Tulane and Baylor, Vandy is a match, Rice is a mid-reach, and Duke is a pretty big reach (admissions heavily weights test scores, yours are well below average for Duke).

Thanks. anymore chance-takers?
