It’s nice except for GPA. What happened?

Well… it was bad for the first 3 semesters of high school. And then from second semester sophomore to the end, it was a continuous upwards trend.

Anyone else have opinions ?? Thank You!

Colleges love to see improvement in grades so I think that will be ok.

You have great EC’s, so I think you have a great chance at the ivies. As always, though, the ivies are unpredictable.

You probably have a good chance at Duke/JHU/Cornell/Upenn(non-Wharton)/Brown, but the rest is hard to say. GPA is still the most important factor. Although colleges love to see an upward trend in GPAs, keep in mind that applicants applying to these schools probably have high GPAs over the course of their whole HS. SO the rest of the Ivies and Stanford would be reaches for you.

Duke and lower ivies for sure.

For the others, your grades will hurt a slight bit. Make sure you conselor explains your upward trend. Your lack of awards or distinguishment will hurt.

I have almost the same stats as you but with major major awards (SAT score same, SAT 2 was 790,800,800). And i believe I did pretty well this admissions cycle :D. Get those awards!

Got into Dartmouth (and a likely, too) with stats way below yours. You should be fine.

arent you a sophomore?

^^^^^

CALLED OUT!

I revise my chances. High reach for all of them. I doubt your gonna get a 2400 and 3 800’s. You will fall short somewhere.

AND a 36 AND all those AP tests as a freshman? wow. also how is this possible if you are a sophomore: “Well… it was bad for the first 3 semesters of high school. And then from second semester sophomore to the end, it was a continuous upwards trend.”

Here. Let me clarify. I am a sophomore, but my friend, does not have an account and used this :P. This clearly may of caused the confusion. SO… these stats reflect the work of a current 2nd semester senior, waiting for the last of college decisions to trickle in.
Hope this helped :)

Decisions are out in like 1 - 1.5 weeks, I’m sure your friend will get into a very prestigious school.

Thanks! I will convey the message to him. I can observe that it is a very nerve-wracking experience, knowing that I will be here in another two years. :/

That’s funny because based on the EC’s posted here and in your other posts you appear to be the exact same person in interest

Followed him. We are like brothers. Family friends. He got an internship, mentioned me, etc.

I’m in the same boat as you with a 2400. I think you’ill get in at least something like Northwestern or UChicago. Then you’re probably in at like Dartmouth, Cornell, or Duke. As for Stanford or HYP? Thats depends on your essay and luck.
