Any suggestions would be very helpful.
Please be honest on whether or not I would be able to get into Stanford. I look up information on colleges as a daily activity because it is fun and I will be going on a campus tour this summer of Stanford.

With that SAT, no chance. Get it up to a 2200, then you’ll have a decent chance.

Yes, thanks I know. I had a stomach virus too so I did very badly. Anyone else?

Well, seeing that you had a stomach virus, I do not think you will do badly on your next SAT.

Colleges are going to love that daughters of destiny thing

To be honest, your GPA really isn’t high enough for a Stanford level. Neither is your PSAT score. I’m a sophomore myself. Regents are SUPER easy, and your courses aren’t that rigorous either (But that’s as rigorous as your school can get, so it won’t be much of a detriment to you).

Also, you really don’t want to skip Pre-Calculus. Mainly because your math grades were pretty low for the past two years. I never took a Geometry course, I studied it myself over the summer and I got a 100 on the Regents. And I know Trig is way harder, especially compared to Geometry, but considering your score, I don’t know if it’s in your best interest to skip Pre-Calculus and go into Calc BC. A better choice would have been to study Geometry over the summer like I did and get a head start on Trig. That way, you wouldn’t have to skip Pre-Calculus and you’d be able to take Calc BC junior year. Honestly, the only point of Geometry is for like one or two questions on the Math SAT and SAT II. And if you’re taking the AMC.

Just my two cents.

I would get those grades up. I am from New York and math regents get harder as you work up. Algebra 2/Trig is a much harder exam the the integrated algebra or geometry. Really study hard for regents as they should not be too difficult and they appear on your transcript. Colleges will not be thrilled by low regents

Thank you. If I got a very high score on the SAT, would that help by much? Am I considered to have a low gpa and would stanford see that as the deadly (Low gpa and High SAT Combo) Which would show them that I’m lazy?(I’m not. I work hard in school.)

–To add to the information listed above, the average SAT score at my school is 1550 out of 2400, and I am in the top 10% of my class. PM me if you need any additional info to chance me.

you’re looking one of the most difficult university in the nation to get into, so those grades are not nearly enough to make you stand out. think of it this way: you’re in the top 10%, so why wouldn’t stanford admit those at your school who have higher grades than you? people applying to stanford will also have high standardized test scores in addition to high GPA in high school, so unless you have some special talent in athletics or arts or something else, admission, even statistic-wise, is highly unlikely.
with that said, bring up your GPA, make sure you have great test scores, and devote your time to pursuing one or so of your extracurriculars in much greater depth. meanwhile, don’t set your sight too much on stanford and look into a wide range of schools, all of which can offer a wonderful college experience.

No, they won’t view you as the “deadly low GPA/high SAT” combo because first of all your SAT is not high by any standard. Your going to have to improve my a good 600 points, and I don’t buy your “I was sick excuse”, unless you were A. Shot during the exam or B. Under going a violent seizure for the a good portion of the exam, I doubt you would improve drastically.

Also, stop comparing yourself to the rest of the nation/your school. You’re going to have to compare yourself with the tip/top caliber students in the nation to get into stanford. Your ECs are weak, shows very little initiative, just another laundry list of non-exclusive, non-prestigious events and awards.

Thank you all for your honesty. Anyone else?

and Meteman- I said if, and When I receive a high score on the SAT. I’m not trying to sound cocky but I’m going to do whatever it takes.

i dont want to sound mean, but I’d say very little chance. Being a URM will certainly help you, but most URMs applying to Stanford have much better stats and extracurriculars than you do. Look at this thread to see the caliber of Stanford admits:
