You’re in. Next question.

You’re in.

Just wanna throw this out there, what’s your interests? From your AP classes, you seem to be all over the place. I personally took AP US History, AP Physics, and AP English. I regret taking English (Lit) since I feel like I haven’t really learned anything I didn’t already know about or know how to do. US History is a good background for Econ, which you’re also taking. AP Bio seems out there compared to the stuff you posted.

For a comparison, I have about a 3.7 GPA (My school calls it 4.0, but a 91.0 is not a 4.0). My SATs were ok at best. 550M/620R/690W. Honestly, if I’d take the SAT again, I’d do a hell of a lot better, but I was happy with what I got. I’d say you’re in.

One thing though, make sure you get a really good essay. Your grades are amazing, to be sure, but there are people who’ve had similar (sometimes even HIGHER) grades, along with comparable ECs. If you take AP English, your teacher will 99% of the time be happy to help, and those AP English teachers are really good writers.

Since it sounds like you’re just becoming a senior, go to your Guidance Counselor often! Your GC is invaluable and will be your closest friend in Senior year if you’re serious about college. Also, since you’re already dead set on Stony, you should apply as early as possible. SBU sends acceptances to people as early as December who have statistics like yours.

Also, get a solid recommendation from a core subject teacher. SBU requires only 1 recommendation, and my guess is that a solid recommendation from a Physics Teacher or a Calculus teacher will hold a hell of a lot more weight than an Athletic Coach. Of course, however, your recommendation should come from someone that knows you well as a student and as a person, and from a teacher whose subject most nearly fits with your major.

Good luck!

thank you for your really good feedback(:!! taking all those APs were/is just me trying to challege myself in as many subjects as i could…(even though my gpa took a fall from it)
