I am an Indian, CBSE Board student.

Over a 100 views and no reply, Anyone??

Ivys will be hard seeing that you’re an internat student, and your ACT isn’t IVY tier… You have a really good shot for everything else though! Your ECs are unique, and I’m not too sure how those %iles are calculated, as much school does it much differently… So, yea… Good luck though! And if you get the opp, could you chance me as well?

Thanks a lot!

Rank: 1/324
Valedictorian

I think that my scores are at or over 50 percentiles for all the colleges I am applying to except Princeton.
Anyway, I appreciate your views. Thanks :)

Mrinal, you have good chances, just like everybody who applies at Ivies… with acceptance rates that low, one cant really give sure-shot assurances… but you have good scores… ACT is okay… neither exemplary nor damaging… its just fine… wont hurt you. Your activities are impressive and I do feel you will get in some very good colleges…
Purdue and GTech no worries what so ever…

^Lol, I already chanced you.
Thanks mehta (another Indian, great :D)

@iamnotok Are you kidding me? He has a 33 ACT… According to the common app, Harvard’s percentile break up is this: 31 | 32 | 34. A 33 is good enough, you’re just trying to freak him out. -.-

I’m assuming you’re an international? I’m sure you already know how competitive admissions for internationals are, but you never know what could happen! One of them may just really like your personality and admit you… Stay hopeful, your stats are good enough; just concentrate on writing great essays. :)

Good luck next year… Maybe we’ll end up in the same school. :p

Yes, I am just hoping that Stanford suddenly starts liking Table Tennis Players and take interest in Indians. lol
Hope we get into the ivies…:)

???

Me too. :stuck_out_tongue: (although my top choice actually isn’t an ivy- MIT)

???

Guys, a little gelp here.

*help
Sorry for the typing mistakes

Well, I assumed that a 33 wouldn’t be enough, because a ton of my friends had top notch school rankings with a 35 on their ACT, and they got rejected from every single Ivy, including Brown and Cornell… idk though
But everything else seems solid. Your SAT II scores are really good and again, you have unique ECs!

The process is VERY random, and you’ll come to see that…

Guys, more chances are welcome.

@iamnotok, thnx for your views, appreciate it.

???

Anyone???

The competition from India is brutal. If you are full pay it helps a lot. I agree the ivies will be tough, but Berkeley and the other state schools look promising.

Thanks waverly for your views. :)
