BTW I am an aspirant from India, and I don't require Financial Aid.... Also please tell me if I should add anything else to my profile as I may have missed some points..! Thank You...

Also tell me what would you score me on the scale of 10, 0 ( you don’t stand a chance, shame on you!) - 10 (You may be the best applicant there)… Please score me for every college I have written there!! Cheerio!

8.5/10---------------------------------------

Bump10char

Harvard Yale 3.2/10
Princeton Stanford CalTech 3.4/10
Columbia Brown Dartmouth 3.5/10
Cornell 4/10

Wait forgot upenn 4/10 unless Wharton then 3.3/10

you need to improve your ACT by 5 points, otherwise they won’t even look at the application. Also, try SAT you might like it better than ACT.

quiverfox and HamiltonFan… thanks for the review… btw, i had my princeton alumni interview today and it went AWESOME!!! yup AWESOME in CAPITALS… she said that given a chance, she would accept me at once… but then, she might be lying… fatherofm… I am not sure if I understood you… are you suggesting that my profile is so weak, that unless I score a 34 or higher on the ACT, they will surely reject me? because I know many a people who got accepted with 29s and 30s… and a guy from my city who got into stanford with a 27…

Does that mean you are playing for the National Team?

You play for State? and Country? Also you are a district level swimmer and a city level Soccer CF? You have done 3200 hours of community service? You also won national Olympiads?

I don’t believe you have been able to manage SO MUCH. It is obvious that you are either a ■■■■■ or a stupid rich Indian kid who is cheating on his apps (Many rich kids do!!). Please don’t waste our time.

If you are an athletic recruit, you have a good chance at these schools. Otherwise, zip to a 1.

@quiverfox I don’t believe that you actually rated his app 8.5 without noticing all these UNBELIEVABLE stats.

ACT is too low for those colleges…its below the 25th percentile…

The people who got in with lower scores might have some special cicumstances. For eg. there was a prince from Nepal whose father donates a lot got into Harvard and Harvard admissions director, Mr. Fitzsimmons personally called and informed him. So, circumstances are different. Point is if you don’t have a hook (i.e. something very special) your ACT will not get you into even top 50 schools. Sorry, that is the reality. The Nepal story is in CC somewhere, by the way he had 1900 in SAT.

I wonder why this thread looks suspiciously similiar to this one:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1463364-chance-me-ivies.html

@hoppingforbetter…You don’t realize my point. Well what I have noticed is that I myself don’t know how much I will be given in a range of 10…how can I compare myself to the OP then…All I rated him was for his grades at school…rest is not in any of our hands…The best we can do is make the OP feel confident at least before the decisions right:D
I don’t know If you could do so much but…It is POSSIBLE:)

hopingforbetter - that means that my high school team played in the nationals tournament and I was in the team, and my family owns a community center where I work daily for 2-3 hours… no. of volunteer work hours may be way higher than what I have indicated… and yeah I play soccer for on of my city teams and I didnt WIN the Olympiads, I scored well in them… whatever I may be, I am definitely not ■■■■■… and even if I were rich, I would dare not send fake info to these universities… for all u know I get selected and dont know a damn about cricket of soccer… they’ll deport me at the first chance… cptofthehouse and XtremePower thanks for the review… OrchidBloom… CommunityWiz is my cousin… he entered partially incorrect info about my profile so here I am

I find it amazing that OrchidBloom caught that.

"[…] From leading a group of 10 while trekking on the Himalayas"

What does this mean? Did you go for a hike with some friends, or did you climb Mount Everest? Your EC’s all sound a little BS-ey.

Caltech - 2/10
Stanford - 2/10

HYP - 2/10

Columbia - 4/10
Penn - 5/10 (Unless Wharton, then 3/10)
Brown - 6/10
Cornell - 8/10
Dartmouth - 5/10

Goodluck!

Reach for all: sorry. Your rank is good, ECs are good, but not outstanding like many applicants are who apply to these schools. For example many people who are accepted to Caltech have already conducted their own research or started their own projects. ACT and SAT are very low for these schools, however your 2140 SAT is much more in range than that 29 ACT. Ideally, you would get a 2200+ at least, bolster your ECs with something a bit bigger, a bit more unique (and as a previous poster said, your current ECs look a bit BS-y), write stellar essays and we might have a shot here.
