Chance me for the Ivy League

I’m curious on my chances of getting into some of the top schools. (Mainly Princeton, Upenn (which im a multi-legacy), Brown, and Columbia)
Here are my stats:
ACT-33C (35E, 31M, 33R, 31S)
10 on writing
3.9 GPA
4.5 GPA (weighted)
Rank 15 out of 350

I also took classes at a local university that is pretty decent and received As in my courses.

Extra Curricular:
Ballet (20+ hours a week)
Hot Yoga (working at the studio as well as taking classes)
Leader of French Club
NHS
In political action club
In club that works with special needs students

Please let me know my chances

Any suggestions would be a great help:)

With single digit admission rates, these schools are reaches for all. ED plus Legacy at Penn would give you a boost there.

Have you also begun identifying matches and safeties? Do you have any interest in LACs and are you female? When we were looking at schools for our dancer daughter, we were told that Bryn Mawr and Barnard “get” dancers (that is, they understand the commitment and character required to dance at that level and credit it accordingly). Admissions rates are competitive at both, but not as much as Penn and Columbia. Fordham might also be more of a match/low reach for you academically; entry into their dance program is quite competitive.

Best of luck to you. Assuming you develop a balanced college list, there is no reason not to try for some Ivies.

I mean you should ED to UPenn since you have legacy.
Based on your stats and ECs, you are fairly average. Be sure to make those essays stand out.

I will assume (and recommend) that you have also applied to safeties and matches.

I think that the Ivy League schools and equivalents are reaches or high reaches for you. I would focus on other schools and hope that you get a pleasant surprise.

@DadTwoGirls @mamaedefamilia Yes, I have so many target and safety schools on my list. My target ones are F&M, NYU, Villanova, Boston University, and Bucknell to name a few. Safeties are Penn state, Pitt, and Drexel.

@GoBears2023 You mean " fairly average" for UPenn applicants, I think. There are many good schools for which those stats at least would be excellent. As for ECs, 20 hours a week in ballet is like writing “I play on varsity basketball, play in every game, was named MVP for the freshman and sophomore years, and also do baseball part time”. As a parent of a dancer (though she dances more modern, Jazz and other types), I can tell you that 20 hours of ballet a week is pretty brutal for a full time high school student who is also doing pretty well academically, and doing other stuff as well, and most admissions officers would know that.

@hw1102 I think that you may need to be a bit more detailed about your ECs. I’m pretty sure that the 20 hours of ballet is more than that (shows, maybe choreography, be more specific), and the same for everything else. More importantly, do that in your applications. There is a difference between inflating accomplishments and letting people know what you actually did accomplish…

@MWolf yes fairly average for UPenn applicants, sorry for the confusiion.
