Chance me for the love of God

Instate white male (with a somewhat obsessive personality, I would kill to just get the applying process OVER with)

2270 first time SAT- will take again this October. 800 CR 690 Math (OH MY GOD, I choked big time on that section) 780 Writing

3.875 Tech-weighted GPA. 5 AP's through junior year (APHUG-4, AP World-5, APUSH-5, AP Chem-5, AP Lang-5). 3 more AP's first semester of this year (Calc AB, Microecon, Lit), 4 more next semester (Psych, Physics C, US Gov, Calc BC) for a total of 11 AP's.

EC's:
80+ volunteering hours at library
volunteer for political campaign
a couple years of baseball
NO clubs
a couple of school wide awards
Advanced to the county level for GHP

I'm not ridiculous; I have at least a solid shot at getting in. But could I be considered a lock with my schedule rigor, acceptable GPA, and great SAT and AP scores? EC's are obviously sub-par, but at least there's something there. I also have to imagine that Tech cares more about ability than how many pointless high school clubs you were a member of.

anxious #justletmeapplyalready

Looks like you already did a decent analysis of yourself in that last paragraph. Seems like a good chance of getting in with substantial AP transfer credits. Just have a good essay and should expect an acceptance. Apply early action if you’re so anxious

You will be fine. Apply early so you are considered for the Presidential Scholarship

Just curious–AP courses are year-long classes, how is it that you are completing them in one semester?

Some AP courses are just half-year long (AP Microeconomics and AP US Government in my case)

I have block schedule. 4 1.5 hour classes per semester.
