Chance me for top (engineering) schools!

Hello! I’m currently a junior interested in engineering and trying to figure out which schools to apply to. I’m somewhat of a cookie-cutter Asian (but ambitious enough). Up until this year, I was focused on being an economics major, so that explains by lack of engineering ec’s (trying to start now.) Also been told that I “seem like a music major.” However, I’ve always really enjoyed math. Will my scores and GPA get me into some of these schools despite the lack of engineering-related ec’s?

Objective:

SAT: 2370
SAT II: 800 Math 2 (taking lit and US)
Unweighted GPA: 3.96
Weighted GPA: 4.35-ish (UC: 4.61)
AP (place score in parenthesis): Statistics (5), Euro (4)
Junior Year Course Load: AP Calc AB, AP US History, AP Lang, AP Chinese, Honors Physics (and band)
Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): Probably national merit semifinalist (1510) and AP something whatever it’s called?

Subjective:

Extracurriculars:
-DECA (treasurer, president next year as all other officers are seniors)
-Red Cross (VP of communications, applying for a regional youth board position but idk)
-National Economics Challenge (went to state, but idk how big this is)
-Interact
-NHS
-ACE Mentor (civil engineering program that’s offered at my school where you work with professionals on engineering projects, no idea how big this is)
-Marching band (section leader)
-Flute ensemble (principal flute): 100+ volunteer hours through benefit concerts and various performances alone, helped organize concerts and worked with nonprofits
-I teach flute to elementary/middle schoolers yay (is this considered work)
-Flute ABRSM exams, county/state honor band, wind ensemble section leader, more music stuff etc.
-50+ more volunteer hours through clubs
-Learning to code on my own, attempting to start an online tech-related magazine, but no otherwise demonstrated interest in computer science so WELL)

Summer Activities: Johns Hopkins CTY econ course, communications intern for school district

Other:

Intended Major: Computer Engineering (EECS, CS, something, def applying to engineering schools unless LAC)
State (if domestic applicant): CA
School Type: Public (average and we have no strong extracurriculars :/)
Ethnicity: Asian
Gender: Female
Recs: I’ll probably get them from my AP Lang and Honors Physics teachers, participating a lot in class and attempting to become closer to them since I go to a large school but in the case they’re mediocre… well. Also getting one from flute teacher (who I’m close to) who is president of a recognized nonprofit.

Schools:
UCB (EECS :/)
UCLA
UCSD
UCI
Harvey Mudd
Pomona College
Tufts
Lehigh IBE
University of Washington
Penn Jerome Fisher lol
Harvard lol
MIT lol

*I’m currently in Honors Physics, which doesn’t cover all of the AP Physics 1 material, but should I take the Physics 1 test if I want to be an engineering major? I’ve heard it’s very difficult to get a 5 and my class only covers roughly half of the curriculum.
*
Do I have a shot at some schools if I’m not applying for engineering? Since engineering is typically impacted.
**ALSO only a couple of ec’s are STEM-related…

Bump…

Be aware that you need a science SAT 2 in addition to the Math 2 for MIT.

I thought I was reading my daughter’s stats who had exactly the same SAT and UWGPA as yours last year! She applied to two of your choices (UCLA and UCI) and got accepted with Regents scholarship to both and is attending now UCLA. So I don’t see why you should not be admitted either!
(Though I also agree that you need one more science SAT2 and perhaps more AP scores for engineering)

Thank you, @uclaparent9 ! Though my ec’s are too time consuming for me to study another AP, I will likely take SAT Physics. UCLA is an amazing school, crossing my fingers for next year (+ Regents!)
