Chance me for transfer to Questrom Fall 2020

Male

HS gpa: ~3.5 (2018)

Community college gpa: 4.0

Extra extracurriculars: State Department Intern, President of Student Government (a lot of meaningful work, working with physical plant to make the school more handicap accessible, creating policies regarding immunization forms, and trying to start a fundraiser for free menstrual products in women’s restrooms), Orientation Leader, tutor/lab assistant, selective state year-long leadership program, member of PTK, DECA, actor for theater program, helped fundraise ~thousands for the school to provide teacher grants and student scholarships, on a couple of committees, in a NYT article and other newspapers lol (kinda random), volunteer at a soup kitchen (very passionate about it), work part-time at a fine dining restaurant

I don’t know what my essay will be on yet, I worked in a lot of restaurants and volunteering at the soup kitchen has been a really eye opening experience for me so that could be an option. It also may be about my struggles with sexual identity in a conservative asian household and a conservative community/town/state. How I am an extrovert and a person who loves to constantly explore and meet new people and make meaningful experiences. Or an asian american who is completely assimilated, I don’t speak the language nor am I friends with anyone who looks like me. I don’t visually fit in in my local community and socially with the asian american community (I’m a banana).

SAT: mid 1200s

Recs: My Chemistry Professor and English professor who both know me very well. President or VP of the school who also know me very well in and out of school.

I really want to go to BU’s Questrom school to study Business Administration with a minor in Accounting if possible. I want to work in the banking/investment industry or do management consulting.
I have been to BU several times, love the location within Boston, its buildings, its research/publications, diversity of its people and studies, vast alumni network, its sports (especially its crew team and powerlifting club), career services like handshake, Questrom student outcomes, very experienced and/or deeply educated faculty, reputation/somewhat prestige, and most of all, the students from which I hear about through the internet and the ones I’ve met. It is my first choice; hopefully I can get in and get enough aid!

Chance?

You cannot major in business. You can major in accounting. Have you taken calculus? It is a requirement for admission?

I meant to say General Management. I have taken up to Calc 2.
