I'm going to be a freshman in the fall in the Honors College at University of Arizona. I feel like i just copped out by just applying to Arizona, and am regretting that decision now...

but if i were to get a 4.0 (or close) GPA my freshman year and be involved in clubs and student government etc... would that be enough to get into MIT on transfer? I know it's harder to get in on transfer, but i'm just looking for everyones 'expert' opinion.

Is MIT worth the money? or is UofA a 'good enough' school

MIT is in a different universe compared to arizona. id say you would have the best chances if you take the hardest classes possible and do well in them. involvement in clubs and stuff is not that important.

In truth, Tgallant, there are so few transfer students, that trying to reach useful conclusions is very, very difficult. There are so few data points that hardly anyone on CC has any actually useful information. Transfer admittance is very hard, but does happen. While at MIT, I lived with a transfer student from University of Illinois. Good luck.
