Hi! I’m an international junior student in Korea, and I’m not sure what schools I should apply and aim for:( (*mainly because of the thought that many colleges are going to expect much higher scores and grades to a “Korean” student)
So I have a lot of different colleges considering right now, pls help I want to major in international relations(and either double major or minor in education.)
So here is my college list(pls keep in mind that I’m really not sure what schools I’ll get in or be rejected so I have really different kinds of schools considering right now):
Brown University(yeah I know it is really unlikely to get into Brown but I’m just going to ED Brown and see if I’m lucky)
Tufts University
UCLA
UC Irvine
UC Davis
New York University
University of Rochester
Brandeis University
Boston University
Pepperdine University
Syracuse University
Skidmore College
Pitzer College
Vassar College
SAT: 1400 (640 R/W, 760 M)-took it last December, going to take it again this October and I’m very sure I’ll get at least over 1450
ACT: 27 which I took in 9th grade, going to take it again this June and I think I’ll get around 32~33
SAT II: going to take Math II and Chemistry
GPA: probably 3.8 Unweighted(My school doesn’t count weighted) but I’m not sure- I failed in my 9th grade, so even though I’m keeping 4.0 since sophomore it is still not an excellent GPA
AP/IB: My school doesn’t offer any AP or IB courses. AP Exams: Psychology(4), Microeconomics(5), going to take Calculus BC and Comparative Government this May
ECs: Pretty a lot. Many of them are related to my majors(which are international relations and education.)
*I moved my school twice, and this is my third school.
