Hi everyone. I am a international student from China and currently studying in a private high school in California as a junior.

Ethic: Apparently I am a Asian

AP Classes: AP Cal AB(5) AP European History(3) and AP Chem(3) for last year
AP Physics 1 AP US History AP Cal BC for this year.

GPA: 4.26(Weighted) 3.97(U) so far

Class Rank:21 of 229

SAT: 1800 ( CR 500 MATH 690 WRIT 610 with essay score 8) Reading is so hard for me but I will improve it next time when I retake it.

Activity: Two year varsity tennis player
founder and vice president of Chinese club
Math team
I am also a math tutor
approximately 60 hours for community service
That is it… I am a lazy guy

Your GPA seems pretty solid for even the top UCs! However, I really think you should indulge into more extra curriculars to improve your chances and also improve your SAT score! If you improve your reading score and get at least a 1900, I think you’d have a pretty good shot. Good luck!

Your GPA is competitive, SAT is not for many of the top UC’s. For the UC’s, your best chances would be UCI/UCSC/UCR and UCM. UCD/UCSB would be 50/50. UCB/UCLA/UCSD would be possible if you retook the SAT and aimed for a 2100+. EC’s are average. Good Luck.
