Hey! I’m currently a junior and i absolutely loved UC Berkeley when i went there (I’m out of state), so if you could chance me it would be amazing (I want to go into either Engineering or Chemistry/Premed)! I’m also in an extremely competitive HS so they don’t tell us our rank…

GPA (weighted) 4.5
GPA (unweighted) 3.92

SAT: 2130
Math: 800
CR: 630
Writing: 700
(Taking the SAT II in May and so far have been getting in the 700s on practice)
(I’m also taking the ACT later this year, and on practice tests have been getting between a 30 and 33)

Taking AP Chem and APUSH this year, and next year will be taking AP Calc and AP Gov

ECs: Radio Club, Yearbook (editor), Future Problem Solving (2nd place for qualifying problem, and 5th for states), Girl Scouts (not sure whether you count this), Red Cross, Class Council (Secretary)
I volunteer for some events at the public library as well

I would say that your stats are competitive! Hopefully the ACT and SAT II’s will result in good scores as well.

From what I’ve heard about College of E/C is that they are the most competitive college for UC Berkeley. That being said, I would aim to have very strong extracurriculars. If your interests lie in Engineering or Chemistry I would do something this summer such as a program or internship. If you need suggestions about possible programs or internships, feel free to PM me! Also, if you are aiming for Premed, there are other options available that do not lie in Engineering/Chemistry. PM me if you have any questions!
