I know it seems like a lot, but I just started the college search process, and I’m trying to find out which of these schools would actually be a possibility for me. Also if anyone has attended any of these schools please feel free to give your opinions on them.

I will only chance you for the UC’s so currently you look competitive for all the UC’s on your list however, UCB should always be considered a Reach.

Since you are an OOS applicant, the competition is fierce especially for a top school like UCB. Also be aware that the UC’s have little to no financial aid to OOS applicants, so expect to pay full fees at $60K+/year to attend. The UC Regents are also considering another tuition hike, so it may be even more by the time you apply.

Run the Net price calculators for all schools on your list and show your parents the results. Make sure these schools are affordable before applying.

anybody else???

UC GPA is calculated differently for as well. Only AP classes get the extra GPA weighting.

No KU on your list as a safety/match?

Take another SAT. 1400 is low for USC and Tulane has gotten more competitive.

Texas is a reach as well as they need to take the top in-state students first.

@Hamurtle Thanks for the info! I will recalculate my gpa based on the uc scale. Also I do plan to apply to KU as a safety, I just did not include it on the list because I already qualify for the guarantee admit for Kansas residents.
