The first one, and I quote my teacher, is very unique because she said she never saw any essay like it before. (This was meant in a good way of course because she helped me develop those ideas even further which made It much better)
The second essay is pretty good too. I spent alot of time editing it. It was about charity work and what it meant to me as a productive member of society. I wouldn’t say the topic is rare but I’m sure that my approach to it was pretty unique!

I don’t think you will have any issue getting into San Diego. Your GPA isn’t stellar, but you definitely make up for it with your awesome SAT scores! Chances at Berkeley or LA are about 50/50 though, they are so picky with what they’re looking for. I say you’re solid for San Diego as long as you’re a California resident and not applying as an engineer.

Major doesn’t matter at Ucsd like it does for Berkeley and La. There’s just certain impacted majors like comp sci, compE, aerospace, mechE and everything in Bio… But applying under these wont inhibit overall acceptance

^^^ The bottom 30% of students admitted to Berkeley have stats similar to yours. And we’re talking of about a couple of thousands of students here with stats similar to yours and yet are Berkeley admits. I would apply to Berkeley with those stats. You wouldn’t know unless you try…
