<p>I'm out from State and just applied for both UCB and UCLA</p>

<p>I have a weighted gpa 4.24 UW 3.96</p>

<p>8 AP's 4 Honors</p>

<p>Top 9% in my school which is a IB school</p>

<p>ACT 29</p>

<p>4 year letter Cheer Comp and Sidelines Highest GPA Award 3 years
Awarded Top Athlete </p>

<p>2 years JV Lacrosse</p>

<p>NHS, Beta and FCA</p>

<p>Link Leader </p>

<p>Made the All State team for Cheer</p>

<p>Sunday School Teacher</p>

<p>Severed on mission trip the last 3 years. Atlanta, Philippines and Costa Rica</p>

<p>Have done tons of hours of service.</p>

<p>Please give me your thoughts?</p>

<p>Your GPA looks good- what is your UC GPA and what major? Your ACT is low for those schools. In-state, top 9% of class is guaranteed admission to a UC,but would probably not qualify for those two schools. I’m not sure about OOS, but I think you would be more likely for UCSB, UCI or UCSC. You might want to retake the ACT or try the SAT.</p>

<p>Right now, both are high match/low reach. It you can get 32+ on the ACT then I’d say match for UCLA and match/high match for UCB depending on your major. Engineering is much more competitive at Cal.</p>
