Chance me for UChicago EA

I'm planning to apply EA to UChicago as a econ major. I want to become a financial engineer, so I intend to double major in computer science and econ.

I finished my senior year in HS and I'm taking a gap year this year. During my gap year, I'll be pursuing two internships, one in economics and one in finance. If you want more details on my plans for the year, I can send them to you by a PM.

Also, I won’t be posting my entire application on this thread. If you would like to chance me, please send me a PM so I can give you the rest of the information.

bumping in progress…

I’m no expert, but I’d say you have a better than decent shot. If you have to PM people a list of your ECs, I’m assuming you have a ton of them. Plus, awards, charity experiences, killer scores. I see no reason as to why you wouldn’t have an extremely good chance. I mean, it isn’t a guarantee, but at a lot of top schools, nothing is every a guarantee.

I bet you’d get in though.

edit: Plus internships. Yeah dude, I’d say you’d probably get in.

@hevydevy Thanks. To be honest, I don’t have that many EC’s. I’m just a bit uncomfortable disclosing all of them on this thread. BTW, would you mind if I sent you the rest of my EC’s?

You have a really good shot, don’t stress about the GPA, especially as you’re in the top 10%. Focus on crafting some well-thought out essays (particularly the extended & why Chicago ones). Good luck!

Bump. Also, I actually raised * over $9000 * for charity, not * over $5000 * as I originally posted. Sorry about that.

Possible to get in, but make sure to write a unique and creative essay. If your essay is too plain, will blow your chance

Over $9000? The internet approves.

But, yeah, it comes down to the essays for pretty much everyone.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Also lol @ above comment.
