<p>I'm a little discouraged due to both my sat score as well as my sophomore grades. I'm also not sure if I should submit my SAT2 math scores lol. On the flip side I'm trying to make up my sophomore year with AP/community college courses.</p>

<p>To be honest, UC’s are admitting less and less Asian’s each year. You’re going to be competing against thousands of Asians with perfect GPA’s, near perfect SAT’s, taken every AP class available, and outstanding EC’s. Your best chance at getting into the upper tier UC’s and USC is to work a lot on your SAT scores. You do show improvement from freshmen to junior year and you are a first generation, so if you get your SAT’s up, you still have a chance at the better UC’s. Good Luck!</p>

<p>Thanks for the response! I’m hoping to get around 1900-2000 on the next SAT1 and I’ve pretty much finished the personal statement. I don’t think there’s much more I can do at this point but hope my essay is enough for UCLA/UCB.</p>
