<p>I don't know much about the admissions statistics for Merced and Riverside, but I think you have a shot. Merced, especially, reads admissions essays and both will look at your Extra Curriculars. Do you have a strong essay and ECs?</p>
<p>Also, they will look at your grades. If there is an upward trend and/or good preparation and good grades in your major, that will help.</p>
