- Co-captain (senior year) of Step Team, making mean officer in STAND (coalition of cultural diversity clubs, including step team, latin dance groups, bellydancing team, GSA, etc. STAND's officers are elected, but also include captains of each individual club/team.)</p>

<p>I'm planning on taking my SATs again in December but I missed registration deadline (long story), so I will be on standby and not guaranteed a seat. I'm wondering how negatively my SAT score will affect my application. I also have plans to retake in January, if necessary, for Pomona.</p>

<p>The UCs are a bit numerical based, so very passionate essays could help A LOT.</p>

<p>Pomona is also VERY score-oriented, caring a lot about rank, high GPA, and their average SAT is 2200. I’ve heard of few people getting in outside of this range. It might be a lot harder to get in there. I’d retake SAT in Jan. for Pomona.</p>

<p>You have a good chance to get into uci and ucr, they are both great schools, ucb is a reach but you never know it doesn’t hurt to try</p>
