<p>Volunteering: Out-of-school Jazz band (Started in 8th grade. 40 hours), Washington Hospital (Started in May 2014. Total Hours ~100), Elementary Summer Academy (Summer of 2014. 90 or so hours of volunteering at an elementary school), 1 year as an teacher's assistant at Chinmaya Mission (Sophomore year. 25 hours.)</p>
<p>You have a great chance, but I think you should also apply to the other UCs as well because you will likely have similar chances for admission in those.</p>
<p>UCSC does not look at SATII scores but you can still submit. You do not need to submit or report your AP Bio score so it should not matter. You have an excellent chance at UCSC and spend time on your UC essays. For many schools such as UCLA/UCB/UCSB, good essays would definitely give you an additional boost.</p>
<p>Your AP Bio score has little relevance to admission. But like Gumbymom said, make sure your essays are excellent, these schools often receive extremely qualified applicants and the only way to distinguish between them is essays. Also, your GPA could use some work, but your test scores are outstanding, so they will probably overshadow this. With that said, what’s your rank? If your school is extremely competitive, then the GPA could very easily be explained away.</p>
