Chance me for ucsd/tufts/tulane/rutgers new brunswick/upitt/penn sate

pump bump~~~

yes i love asking for attention :P:P:P xDDD

My uninformed opinion is that you will get into all of them, except for perhaps Tufts.

You have powerful test scores, which no one can ignore with a straight face.

You need to come up with a good, more specific explanation for your low gpa.

As you already know, your GPA is your real weak point. You must be really lazy lol. You’re probably in for all of those schools, as yout SAT/ACT scores are great.

@kieran: yeah lol.
i just want to get into UCSD lol.
didn’t really focus on school at all till like the last 2-3 months of junior year…

You are in between for UCSD. Slight reach. The GPA will hurt you a lot as UCSD’s average is like a 4.1 weighted (in terms of UC weighted scale…) However your test scores are amazing. If you can explain your issues well in an essay (explain how you overcame it and make it positive, dont make excuses) then you might be in! UCSD switched to holistic admissions this year (it used to be a strict point system-- and I dont think you would have made the cut off as GPA was worth the most points)… so you have a chance. Also the UCs are going under heavy budget cuts so they are allotting more slots for out of state applicants (since you pay a lot more)… even though in general, out of state applicants need much much higher scores than in state applicants to get in.

For UCSD, the last time you can take the SAT is December even though your application deadline is the end of November.

i can only speak for california schools, so UCSD= reach. they place too large of an importance on GPA
