@redwall3000 the student is applying to in-state options. Not an Ivy. The ECs are extremely irrelevant for about 90% of schools.

@EmpireFrontier Ummmm, most colleges are required by law to do a holistic review. Therefore, ECs do matter.

U of MD college park and UMBC are pretty competitive. You will want to work on your SAT.
