I forgot to mention I’m on the executive board for NHS (250 members) and I’m also in Science NHS and Math NHS. Hope this helps!

I really like your youth ministry work. shows compassion and faith in the lord. Try to write about that and how god helps you climb out of your adversity. Maybe tie in some calling out your own white privilege and how god helps you do that. Nice to be so spiritual

UMD Honors is almost guaranteed, and the school itself is a good safety. To be honest UMD>UConn for your case regardless so honestly I wouldn’t bother too much for UConn Honors (though that’ll be a bit harder to get into)
Northeastern on the other hand is a decent reach with each class getting more competitive than the last. You can get in, but I guess your chances are about the admission rate level.

UMD Honors- Match
UConn Honors- Low Reach
Northeastern- Reach

UConn Honors will be harder to get in because they expect you to be in the top 5% of your class but as you said you went to a competitive so they may consider that. Northeastern is a reach as you GPA is kind of on the lower end. It you can raise your GPA up a little and raise your SAT/ACT up a little, you should be in better shape. I would apply to all there schools if i were you!

Chance back?
